Ford Bronco Windshield Repair
Repair Bronco rock chips and cracks up to 10 inches while keeping the existing windshield in place.
We don’t sell glass. We save windshields.
Upright glass takes a direct hit
Look at repair before choosing a Bronco windshield replacement.
A Bronco's relatively upright windshield can take a direct strike from gravel and road debris. Early resin repair can save the windshield before the damage spreads farther across the glass.
I inspect the complete impact, its legs, depth, contamination, distance from the edge and the length of any crack. I structurally repair cracks up to 10 inches.
Mint Chips does not sell replacement glass. My first question is whether the windshield already on your Bronco can be saved. If it cannot, I will tell you straight.
Logo, SoundScreen and configuration
Bronco windshields are not all the same piece of glass.
Depending on model year and equipment, a Bronco windshield may carry a Bronco graphic, Ford’s SoundScreen acoustic marking, a forward-camera bracket and other feature-specific details. SoundScreen is an acoustic windshield feature; a visible logo alone does not identify every part of the configuration.
Before replacement, record the markings on the original glass and ask the provider to match the windshield to the VIN and installed equipment. Repair keeps the glass and those details in place.
Rock-chip evaluation
Stars, bullseyes and combination breaks are judged by the complete damage—not just the visible pit.
Up to 10 inches
I structurally repair windshield cracks up to 10 inches.
Keep the configuration
Repair leaves the current logo, acoustic construction, brackets and factory-installed glass in place.

Camera and ADAS
Replacement can add a calibration step.
A forward-facing camera looks through a defined area of the windshield. Windshield replacement can change the glass and camera relationship, and Ford says camera- and sensor-equipped vehicles require the proper calibration before glass work is considered complete.
Repair normally does not remove the windshield or camera bracket. If replacement is necessary, ask which glass will be installed, which Ford procedure applies and how calibration will be documented.
Wrangler or Bronco
The shape is similar. The glass details are vehicle-specific.
Wrangler and Bronco owners both deal with upright windshield geometry and rock impacts. Warranty, branding, acoustic layers, brackets and camera procedures differ. For Jeep-specific Gorilla Glass and JK/JL information, see the Jeep Wrangler windshield repair guide.
Bronco windshield questions
Frequently asked questions.
Why does a Ford Bronco windshield get rock chips?
The Bronco windshield is relatively upright, so road debris can meet the glass more directly than on a deeply raked windshield. Each break still has to be evaluated on its own condition and location.
Can a Bronco windshield crack be repaired?
Yes. I repair Bronco windshield cracks up to 10 inches. Edge involvement, contamination, depth and location still matter.
What is a SoundScreen windshield?
SoundScreen is Ford's acoustic windshield branding. Availability and glass configuration vary by model year and trim, so check the original windshield markings and VIN-specific equipment.
Does the Bronco logo prove a windshield is the correct replacement?
No. A logo or graphic is one visible detail, but the correct windshield also depends on model year, body and equipment such as acoustic construction, camera brackets, sensors and other options.
Does windshield repair affect the Bronco camera?
Repair normally leaves the glass and camera mount in place. If replacement is required, a camera-equipped Bronco may need Ford's vehicle-specific calibration procedures.
