RV Windshield Repair
Mobile chip and crack repair for motorhome windshields—including cracks up to 10 inches.
We don’t sell glass. We save windshields.
Large glass deserves a careful look
Repair the damage before replacing an RV windshield.
Class A motorhomes can use a wide one-piece windshield or two separate windshield sections. Class B camper vans and Class C motorhomes use cab glass tied to the underlying van or truck platform. In every case, the first step is identifying the complete break and its position in the glass.
A rock strike usually leaves an impact point. A crack with no impact point may be related to stress, body movement, mounting pressure or another condition. That distinction matters: resin repairs glass damage, but it cannot correct a moving opening or an installation problem.
Mint Chips is repair-only. I look at saving the windshield already in the RV and will tell you straight when replacement or diagnosis of the underlying cause is the safer path.
What I need to see
Show the break and the whole windshield.
Send one close photo of the impact or crack, one wider photo showing its position, and one photo of the complete front of the RV. For a split windshield, show which side is damaged. If the crack touches an edge or molding, include that edge.
Photos provide a first look. I make the final repair decision after inspecting the windshield in person.
Class A
One-piece panoramic and split-windshield motorhomes evaluated at their location.
Class B & C
Camper-van and cutaway-cab windshields get the same damage-first evaluation.
Up to 10 inches
I structurally repair windshield cracks up to 10 inches.
Impact or stress
I look for an impact point, edge involvement and signs that movement may still be acting on the glass.
A repair-first decision
Large and specialized glass can make replacement a bigger job.
RV windshield replacement may involve a large opening, specialty glass, seals or bonded installation. Repairing the chip or crack leaves the existing windshield and installation in place.
If the damage is a chip, review windshield chip repair. For a longer single-line crack, see windshield crack repair and the long-crack guide.
RV windshield questions
Frequently asked questions.
Can an RV windshield crack be repaired?
Yes. I repair RV and motorhome windshield cracks up to 10 inches. Location, edge involvement, contamination and movement in the glass still matter.
Do you repair one-piece and split RV windshields?
Yes. I evaluate damage in both one-piece panoramic windshields and two-piece or split windshields. The glass shape and damage location affect the decision.
Do you work on Class A, Class B and Class C motorhomes?
Yes. Send photos of the damage and the full windshield so I can identify the glass layout and where the damage sits.
Is every RV windshield crack caused by a rock?
No. A visible impact point can indicate road debris, while a crack without an impact point may involve stress, body movement, installation pressure or another cause. I inspect the damage before recommending repair.
Does a repaired RV windshield look new?
No. Structural repair restores strength and stops the damage from spreading. The repaired area normally remains visible.
